Water is found on three-fourths (70.8%) of the entire earth and expansion of the site on one-fourth (29.2%). Of the total area of the earth (51.00 crore sq km), the hydrosphere ( ocean ) is spread over 36.17 crore sq km and the expansion of the terrain (Mahavdeep) on 14.89 crore sq km.
